Keto diets work best if you also add some exercise into your schedule.
1. Exercise
Most people don't have time in their schedules for regular workouts, but that doesn't mean they have to give up on losing weight. Many people who want to lose weight are choosing to do ketogenic diets, where most of the carbs come from fats like butter, coconut oil, avocado, eggs and bacon. If you are looking to lose weight, then this diet might be something that works well for you. They can help you reach your goals faster than other diets, and since fat isn't considered a carbohydrate, you won’t experience any sugar cravings. You may even find that you feel more energetic after eating them!
2. Fat
The biggest misconception about keto diets is that you need to cut out carbohydrates completely. Ketogenic diets are high-fat diets, and many people believe that you can't survive without carbs. This couldn't be farther from the truth. In fact, research shows that both children and adults who follow low carb diets see improvement in brain function and cognitive performance. When we eat foods rich in fat, our bodies release hormones called satiety signals. These tell us that we are full and encourage us to stop eating, preventing overindulging and overeating.
3. Protein
Protein can be a major challenge when following Keto diets. However, you can get around that by making sure that you include meat such as eggs, fish, chicken, turkey, beef, pork, lamb, goat, venison, etc. Be sure to stay away from processed meats and try to stick to organic whenever possible.
